SELLING YOUR LAND / SELLING ALL OR PART OF YOUR WATER CONTRACT

SELLING YOUR LAND  (refer to Customer Contract section 23 – see link below)

  1. Notify the BIL office that you are selling and arrange for collection of the following paperwork:
    Standard Transfer Form
    Deed of Assignment and Assumption
    Levy schedule (if applicable)
  2. Return the following to the BIL office:
    Completed paperwork as listed above – please note that email or fax is not acceptable
    Original share certificate(s) – where this is not possible a Lost Share Certificate declaration is available which all transferor(s) must sign and which will then cancel out the original share certificate(s)
    Note: On completion of the transfer, share certificates will be issued to the purchaser
    If the new owner does not wish to become a BIL customer, please contact the BIL office to discuss the matter further 
  3. Meter Reading
    Please contact the BIL office prior to settlement day to arrange reading of your meter
    Note: Invoices will continue to be sent to you until the transfer is completed
    Transfer cannot be completed until all outstanding invoices have been paid
