SELLING YOUR LAND / SELLING ALL OR PART OF YOUR WATER CONTRACT

SELLING YOUR LAND  (refer to Customer Contract section 23 – see link below)

If you are selling your vineyard with BIL water, BIL has its own processes to transfer ownership of BIL shares and water contracts to the new owner. These are separate and in additional to the land sale processes.

• Invoices will continue to be sent to you until BIL’s transfer processes are completed.
• Transfers cannot be completed until all outstanding invoices have been paid.

If you are selling your vineyard without BIL water, please contact the office.

To transfer your BIL water to the new vineyard owner:

  1. Notify the BIL office that you are selling and arrange for collection of the following paperwork:
    • Standard Transfer Form
    • Deed of Assignment and Assumption
    • Levy schedule (if applicable)
  2. Return the following to the BIL office in original hardcopy format:
    • Completed paperwork as listed above
    • Original share certificate(s). If the originals are lost, request and complete a Lost Share Certificate declaration. All transferor(s) must sign this. The original share certificate(s) will then be cancelled.
    • Note: On completion of the transfer, new share certificates will be issued to the transferee
  3. Meter Reading
    • Please contact the BIL office prior to settlement day to arrange reading of your meter and subsequent invoicing for water used

Please discuss this with BIL in advance of agreeing to the sale of BIL water.

• Invoices will continue to be sent to you until BIL’s transfer processes are completed.
• Transfers cannot be completed until all outstanding invoices have been paid.
